The National Gallery of Art is a unit of the Lithuanian National Museum of Art. The Gallery is located in the new centre of public and commercial life in Vilnius, along Konstitucijos prospektas, on the right bank of the Neris River. The Gallery started to operate in 1993. The Gallery collects, researches and displays to visitors Lithuanian art of the 20^th and 21^st centuries, seen as a part of the modern world’s artistic culture. The Gallery functions as a contemporary multifunctional centre for culture and the arts, striving for dialogue with the public. The Gallery is an active communication space in which the audience gets acquainted with the permanent and temporary exhibitions and participates in cultural events, lectures, and educational programmes. The Art Information Centre also operates here.

Palanga Amber Museum is the unit of the Lithuanian National Museum of Art which each year receives the largest numbers of visitors.

The Museum was established in the mansion built in 1897 by Count Feliksas Tiškevičius and his wife Antanina Korzbok-Łącka. The mansion was designed by the famous German architect Franz Schwechten. The mansion stands in the most beautiful location in Palanga: a park designed by the French landscape architect Édouard François André. After World War II, the Artists Creative Work and Leisure Home made its home in the mansion. On 3 August 1963, the first exhibition space of the Palanga Amber Museum was opened in two halls of the mansion. The Museum’s opening marked an important event in Lithuanian cultural life. The first exhibition space quickly became a significant centre for amber collection, research and promotion as well as one of the most visited museums in Lithuania. Currently, the Museum’s collections include over 30,000 exhibits, 5,000 of which are displayed to visitors in a permanent exhibition. The exhibition is improved, expanded and supplemented with newly-acquired exhibits each year.

The exhibition presents two main topics: the creation of amber during the evolution of Earth and the usage of amber in the history of culture. Each topic is divided into several sub-topics. Visitors have an opportunity to get acquainted with the most important information during a guided tour.

Pranas Domšaitis Gallery is a branch of the Lithuanian National Museum of Art, established in a complex of three nearby 19th–20^th century buildings.

The LNMA Klaipėda Art Museum (which was then called the Klaipėda Painting Gallery) was opened in 1973. The gallery exhibited old and modern works of Lithuanian fine art, West European and Russian paintings from the 19^th and early 20th centuries, and its small courtyard was decorated with mosaics and sculptures.

The exhibitions in the gallery were updated in 1990. Most of the exhibition space was devoted to contemporary Lithuanian painting, graphics, and sculpture.

In 2001, a permanent exhibition of the painter Pranas Domšaitis (1880–1965) was established. In memory of the expressionist painter, the gallery was renamed Pranas Domšaitis Gallery in 2004.

The museum's temporary exhibitions mostly present historical Lithuania Minor and contemporary maritime artists, while the Educational Centre showcases the work of the port city’s young artists.

Museum of the Radvilas Palace is a subdivision of Lithuanian National Museum of Art. In the middle of the 17^th century, the Radvilas Palace was one of the most beautiful in Vilnius. 17^th–18^th  centuries wars and fires devastated them. At the beginning of the 19^th century, the then owner of the palace, Dominykas Radvila (1786–1813), transferred the abandoned, uninhabited palace to the Vilnius Charity Society, which operated here until 1940. Under the possession of charities, the dilapidated palace buildings were demolished or fundamentally rebuilt. In 1967, restoration work has begun at the Radvilas Palace. 

In 1990, a subdivision of the Lithuanian Museum of Art was established in the restored part of the Radvilas Palace. One hall of the palace was dedicated to the Radvilas and named the Radvilas Hall. It provides an insight into the famous Radvila family and its most prominent representatives.

In 1996, 12 exhibition halls have already been installed in the palace. In 2002, the area for exhibitions has expanded, and it has become possible to organize more cultural events in this palace.

The museum was founded in 1987, and is housed in the reconstructed building of the Old Arsenal of the Lower Castle of Vilnius Fortress. This palace was built at the beginning of the 17^th century, on the remains of wooden buildings, floorings and defensive walls of the Lower Castle of the 12^th– 14^th centuries. 

The fires raging in Vilnius in 1654, when the war with Russia began, and also in the 17^th century, when Lithuania passed through a series of wars, significantly damaged the palace. In 1807, Dominykas Radvila (1786–1813) handed over this palace, which by that time was already in very poor condition, to the Vilnius charity, in whose jurisdiction it was until 1940.

In 1967, the reconstruction and restoration of the Arsenal and its adaptation to the museum’s needs began. During the restoration, the spatial structure of the late Gothic architecture of the 16th century, as well as the Renaissance facades of the early 17^th century, were recreated.

In 1987, the Museum of Applied Arts was established in the old arsenal. In 2016, it was renamed the Museum of Applied Arts and Design.

Vilnius Picture Gallery is a unit of the Lithuanian National Museum of Art. The Gallery, as well as the Lithuanian National Museum of Art’s administration, publishing centre, library, the Lithuanian Museums’ Centre for Information, Digitisation and LIMIS, and some of the LNMA’s repositories, operate in Didžioji Street, at the palace of the Chodkevičius family of Lithuanian nobles, located near the Old Town Hall and the Cathedral. The palace was built in the first half of the 17^th century. The Gallery was founded in 1956. Until 1989, its permanent exhibition was located at the Vilnius Cathedral. In 1994, the Gallery was moved to the restored palace of the Chodkevičius family of Lithuanian dukes.

The Gallery’s main exhibition presents a chronological introduction to the art of Lithuania from the 16^th century to the end of the 19^th century. Temporary exhibitions are also held, educational activities are offered, and cultural events are organised.

Pranas Gudynas Restoration Center researches, preserves and restores works of art, historical and archeological values belonging to Lithuanian museums, churches and private individuals. 

The restoration center grew from a small painting restoration workshop set up in the museum, which started in 1946. Now there are workshops for painting, graphics, textiles, ceramics, polychrome wooden sculptures, wooden furniture and frames, metal products and archeological finds. 

The Restoration Center has over 60 highly qualified restorers and researchers of various specializations, trainees in Lithuanian and foreign museums and libraries, trainees in restoration students from Lithuanian and foreign higher education institutions. Specialists of the Restoration Center publish works in scientific and art publications, participate in national and international conferences, carry out international restoration projects.

The Lithuanian Museums’ Centre for Information, Digitisation and LIMIS is a department of the Lithuanian National Museum of Art. The Centre is located in the Old Town of Vilnius, in the northern wing of the Chodkevičiai Palace. The mission of the Centre is to organise and coordinate the activities for digitisation of the cultural heritage objects collected in Lithuania’s museums and the work on the Lithuanian Integral Museum Information System (LIMIS). The Centre organises training for museum specialists, provides services to museums and consults specialists on issues of cultural heritage digitisation and work with LIMIS. The Centre also works on LIMIS administration, development and modernisation.

Since 2013 Pamarys Gallery is an addition to Pranas Domšaitis Gallery exhibition, which is housed in Juodkrantė. 

The museum started its activities in the church of Juodkrantė (1976–1989). The museum, which has been operating in the church for almost 15 years, was a particularly popular cultural and art institution of the Lithuanian Museum of Art in Neringa, a favorite of the local community, tourists and holidaymakers. The museum has now been restored and is located next to the church on the other side of the street in a historic building on the shores of the lagoon, reminiscent of Liudvikas Rėza, who stayed here during the summer.

The museum was opened in 2013 in the historical place of the Vilnius Society of Friends of Science (1907–1939), in a palace in the neoclassical style of the early 20^th century. In 2012, the historic building was reconstructed and modernized. 

Today, the building has a permanent exhibition of the artist Vytautas Kasiulis (1918–1995). He arrived in the European capital of arts – Paris – in 1948 after studying at the Kaunas Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts and at the School of Arts and Crafts in Freiburg. V. Kasiulis revealed himself as a comprehensive artist who proved himself in painting, graphics, book illustrations. Art critics deservedly considered V. Kasiulis one of the most interesting painters of the Paris school of the second half of the 20^th century. Today, the works of V. Kasiulis adorn museums of modern art in Paris and New York, art galleries in France, the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, Argentina, Australia and other countries.

The main mission of the museum is to store and exhibit a collection of 950 works by the artist Vytautas Kasiulis, as well as his personal archive.
